Horseshoe Day Nursery and Preschool is set in the fabulous grounds of the Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher, Surrey. We are most fortunate to sport a huge outdoor garden space incorporating a soft play dome.
Children can join us from 3 months and are welcomed into the Foal's room which is part of a beautifully converted stable building. They have plenty of natural daylight coming in from the nearby courtyard. The Foal's room has a very comfortable ratio of 1:3 and they will find this to be a perfect introduction to nursery life until they are about 13 month old.
Our Preschool and Toddlers enjoy the wonderful facilities of the Manor House Building which is across the courtyard from the Foal's (Infants room).
Children from 13 months to 2 years are at home in the Yearlings rooms where again we have a 1:3 staff ratio. Within the rooms there is an abundance of space for the children as they start to find their feet!
The Chestnuts and Ponies room is for our 2 to 3 year olds with a staff ratio of 1:4. Children are given plenty of opportunities for creativity alongside a slightly more structured approach to learning. Numeracy, literacy, role play and IT are all covered, sometimes working independently and other times in small groups.
Children aged 3 - 5 progress to Oaks, our Preschool rooms where we follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum to provide children with the very best start and the first stepping stone to the world of 'big school' and ongoing education.
